Appleton International Airport (ATW), also known as Appleton Airport or Outagamie County Regional Airport, is a convenient and modern transportation hub serving the Fox Valley region of Wisconsin. History

Early Years: The origins of ATW date back to 1948, when it was a county airfield. The need for commercial aviation service in the Fox Valley drove its development.
Expansion and Name Changes: The airport underwent steady growth through expansions and upgrades. In 1965, the Outagamie County Board of Supervisors assumed ownership, and the facility became known as the Outagamie County Airport. Later, the name changed to Outagamie County Regional Airport.
Modernization: In 2000, a substantial modernization and terminal construction project was undertaken. To reflect its reach and service, the name was officially changed to Appleton International Airport.
